Thanks to many generous contributions, we were able to purchase, paint, and prepare 40 pairs of canvas shoes for delivery to Redemption Children's Home in Ghana, Africa. All of your contributions are entirely appreciated.
Thank you for helping us reach our goal!
A team from Grand Valley State University spent July 2009 in Ghana.
In addition to bringing the 40 pairs of shoes to Redemption Children's Home, the GVSU group worked in the Damongo area. They worked on building a water system, not just a well; introducing, starting and teaching hydroponics farming (also known as drip irrigation farming); building mud shelters; and starting a universal health clinic near Redemption Children's Home, where they also spent time with orphans. Their trip was a great success, and the shoes were a hit among the children!
